The P'Town Float

Join Portsmouth Connex for a day of paddling on the Ohio River in the 1st Annual P'Town Float! Kayak or canoe a 7-mile stretch of the Ohio alongside the voyager canoes of the Ohio River Way Challenge as we usher in the summer! Enjoy a nice relaxing paddle on a beautiful stretch of the Ohio River. Along the way, you can see parts of the Ohio and Erie Canal, catch bald eagles perched in the trees, and revel in the beauty of the Ohio River Valley. Don't have a kayak or canoe? Rentals are available via MoonDoggie Liveree.

Breakfast and sacked lunches will be available for purchase to those who would like nurishment for the paddle on the morning of the float. Coffee will also be available for purchase thanks to Slow Drip Mobile Coffee. The following is the menu prepared by Sunshine Catering:

Want to make it a full-weekend adventure? Join other paddlers the night before at the P’Town Kayak Round-Up on Saturday, June, 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ohio River Campground and Marina (11152 US-52, Stout, OH 45684). Enjoy a free cookout and games as we gather together for food, fun, and a shared love of paddling!

Bring the whole family to float and enjoy a variety of activities at our local attractions. Bring the kiddos to the Candyland Children’s Museum for a bit of play; hit up the downtown shopping scene to find some unique treasures; or try out your mini-golfing skills at Buckeye Dairy Bar. 

The P'Town Float and the P'Town Kayak Round-Up are both free to attend. We ask for registration to acquire a headcount of those participating.
